The hotel rooms were comfortable and spacious with great amenities, including magazines available for guests, though they felt a bit claustrophobic and stuffy at times. While showing signs of aging with some broken and loose items, the rooms overall are nice and quiet, offering good value for money especially with a special deal from Booking.

The service was a bit flustered at times, even though not overly busy. However, the staff were simply amazing, extremely helpful, and acted as perfect hosts. There was an obvious issue with space and delays in getting the car, which could be frustrating, but overall, the service provided great assistance and hospitality.

The hotel provides standard hotel services and is located conveniently in a hotel setting. I recommend trying the Hippopotamus Restaurant on the 3rd floor, which offers a high standard dining experience. The rooms and public spaces are well-maintained and of good quality.

The staff were especially helpful and paid attention to details, such as background music. They even upgraded us to an executive room at no extra charge, which was very helpful and appreciated. They were professional and friendly throughout our stay.

The hotel has nicely dressed rooms with excellent bathrooms, suitable for longer stays, but they could be a bit brighter. The service is fantastic, with friendly and professional staff offering excellent service. The location is very convenient, especially for visiting Te Papa. The dining experience was a disaster, with poor food selection. The facilities are great, with helpful staff and convenient access to everything you might need.
